Diving at Gozo
Malta and Gozo are renowned for the spectacular and easily accessible diving. It is one of the few country’s left now with the permit to allow unaccompanied diving for the qualified (you have to be at least PADI Open Water Advanced) diver. The island is full of dive shops, and we can recommend the best centre to suit your personal needs and situation.
Diving on Gozo and Malta is never boring, we are not surprised to see the naturally inquisitive Barracuda swimming around our fins or Tuna during a feeding frenzy at the end of the day, or even Grouper the size of small submersibles gliding majestically along below us. The water, usually crystal clear, gives way to fantastic, natural rock formations, caves, and wrecks begging to be explored. The dive sites around the islands are easily accessible from both shore and boat, and most of the Gozo dive centres have access to a boat. Some of the centres we use will arrange to collect and return you to and from "Lellux".
If you are going to dive on an unaccompanied basis, it is imperative that you hire a car, see our car hire and transport page for further details.
Whether you are experienced, inexperienced, or just want try it to see if you like it, or maybe wanting to improve on your skills and experience, diving on Gozo will inspire and thrill you.
